We hope to promote democratic decision-making on how we will use CODI through the coming year. We invite participants to make their own unique contributions with the support of CODI to DPC’s efforts towards diversity and inclusion. Some of you may come with a role or projects in mind and others will discover theirs. CODI members may chair workshops, write letters, liaise with other DPC committees, perform outreach inside and outside DPC, and take on leadership of CODI itself.
In the past 2 years we have begun our meetings with a check in with attendees to learn how everyone is reacting to the Diversity-related developments of the past month. We then share thoughts on an article or chapter we have read together. (We did not choose one for this first meeting) We share updates and remind participants of upcoming programs and opportunities. We are always open to ideas and suggestions for the Committee to pursue.
